The Off-White x Air Max 90 'Black' is the darkest and most minimal entry in Virgil Abloh's landmark 'The Ten' collaboration series — a full triple-black construction that strips the AM90 silhouette to its most essential form and lets Off-White's signature deconstructed design language do all the talking. Where the Desert Ore colorway used earth tones and the Cone colorway used white, the Black edition commits entirely to a blacked-out palette, with the only chromatic relief coming from the white raw-edge Swoosh, the orange zip-tie and woven tab details, and the grey reflective medial text overlay — the three signature Off-White x AM90 design codes rendered at their most restrained.

The upper is built on the AM90's classic construction: a black diamond-grid ripstop mesh base at the toe box and quarter panel, with black suede overlays at the mudguard, lateral side panel, and heel counter. All overlay edges are left raw and unfinished in Off-White's signature deconstructed style, with white overlock stitching running along every overlay seam. The Swoosh is oversized and white, with a raw serrated edge and white overlock stitching outlining its full perimeter — the most visually dominant element of the shoe against the all-black ground. The medial side panel carries the Off-White x AM90 grey reflective text overlay: 'Off-White™ for NK "AIR MAX 90" c. 1990 USA' — printed in the collection's signature stencil typeface. An orange square woven tab is stitched to the lateral tongue edge — the Off-White orange square motif. A light blue large zip-tie hangtag is attached to the heel eyelet — the Off-White authentication detail. The heel features the classic AM90 transparent plastic Air window, here rendered in a dark/black tint against the black midsole. The full-length midsole is black, and the outsole is full black AM90 rubber with the classic square-block and wave-pattern traction. Black rope laces are installed, with an additional pair of white flat laces printed with orange '"LACES"' text included in a plastic bag.
